Everything Happens For a Reason

Everything Happens for a Reason

A few weeks ago, I was heading to a bus stop to go to church when the bus driver went passed the stop sign. I was early heading out; the stop is close my house (can see it). When I called the service station, the lady said that the bus schedule was changed. I hung up and went to go to a convenient store around the corner while waiting for the next bus. I bought Cascades and mini-Oreos for a friend. I went back to my house to drop off the Cascades and walked to the bus stop to wait for the bus, which was five minutes late. It came and I headed to church to help with decorations for Vacation Bible School (VBS).

I made it to the church and gave the bag of cookies to my friend. Found out that she was hungry and needed something to eat; she appreciated the fact that I thought about her. And to think that I would not have bought the cookies if I got on the bus earlier.

I do believe that things happen for a reason. Yes, I was upset about the situation, but when my friend was happy to have something to eat, it made me smile. 1 Thessalonians 5:18 pretty much says that in all circumstances, give thanks to God. He has his reasons, although we may not see it right away.
