God Only Knows
I have been listening to a song a lot lately called “God Only Knows” by for King and Country. This song is talking to people who are going through obstacles, especially when feeling isolated or overwhelmed, and reminds us of His never-ending compassion, empathy, and love. We still struggle to lean on Him, especially when we need Him the most. Instead, our “medicine” tends to be whatever the world can provide at the moment only to go back to where we were.
In Matthew 11:28-30 (KJV) Jesus says:
28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.
In other words, we need to let Him handle our worries. We can just tell Him, and He’ll take care of them. The key is to believe that He will do so. God knows what you are going through. Might as well talk to him about it.
